A guide goes live only after someone from the crew has been there. The guide says who visited and when.

Dated

Prices, timings, routes and activities carry the date we checked them. Sea status is reviewed every week in season.

Our own media

Every photo and video is ours, or credited to the reader who shared it with permission. No stock images, no AI images.

How we pick stays and food

We list places rated 4 or above on Google with a large number of reviews, and we read the recent reviews before adding them. Every listing shows the date we last checked it.

Sponsored listings

Some stays and restaurants pay to be listed. They must meet the same rating and review bar, they are always marked "Sponsored", and they always appear after our own picks. Money never changes a sea-status chip, a safety note or a verdict.

Safety first, said plainly

We tell you where it is safe to swim and where it is not. Sea status uses the lifeguard flag colours, always with the words beside them.
